Lee Named New FEDCO Director

 

ROCHESTER – Increasing entrepreneurial business and retention / expansion of existing businesses within Fulton County will be among the top priorities of Terry Lee, who was named today as the Director of the Fulton Economic Development Corporation.

 

Lee, Director of the Fulton County Wellness Center in Rochester, said he inherited a job with a lot happening.  “It’s exciting to continue the fine work of my predecessor and to work with such an engaged board.” 

 

The allure of helping the community in which he lives to grow and prosper is exciting to him.  “I have received an unbelievable amount of support from those who have encouraged me to take this position.  The health and growth of Fulton County business is our business and I look forward to digging in and making progress right from the start.”

 

“In choosing Terry, the FEDCO board showed a clear preference for someone from the local community, who will stay and grow with us and who is excited about seeing his community grow,” said Jason Grube, FEDCO board member.

 

Since moving to Rochester from Orlando, Florida, he has actively served on various external boards and councils including Rochester Downtown Action Committee, Nickel Plate Trail Board, Fulton County Redevelopment Commission, Junior Achievement Volunteer, Rochester and Lake Manitou Chamber of Commerce board member and President, Rotary Club member and President, New Tech High School Exploratory Team, Ivy Tech Workforce Education and Development Advisory Board and FEDCO Board Member and President.

 

He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill with a BA in Political Science with a concentration in Economics.  He is married to the former Lisa Hoff of Rochester and has one daughter, Victoria.
