Update on Fulton County Comeback
Fulton County Comeback is based on a State of Indiana
initiative called the Indiana Hometown Competitiveness Program (HTC).
The program is based on four pillars: Leadership, Wealth Capture, Youth
and Entrepreneurship.
Since the kick-off for Fulton County Comeback on April 21st the
Steering Committee has been very busy. Phase 1 of the HTC
process is completed. Phase 1 focused on assessment in each of the four
pillars. In addition to the survey work that was done at the kick-off
event each pillar has been meeting and planning. Surveys were
conducted to better ascertain the current state of each pillar. We
celebrated at the end of this phase with an Opportunity Retreat in preparation
to move the community on to Phase 2.
Phase 2 of the HTC process involves
strategic planning and implementation of "our plan." During
Phase 2 not only will we chart our own direction, but implement the ideas
generated within our community. Phase 2 will give additional opportunity
for community members to not only share ideas, but also be involved in
providing solutions to the issues we face here in Fulton
County.
We invite everyone to visit our website www.fultoncountycomeback.org to
learn more about our efforts to date and share your views on the challenges we
are facing.
