Modular Builders, Inc builds for growth

ROCHESTER  (July 7, 2008) – Modular building manufacturer Modular Builders, Inc. announced today that it has begun an expansion to  its Rochester manufacturing operations, with additional job creation beginning immediately.

“We continue to see growth throughout our business, which confirms our customers’ belief in the quality of our products and reflects the capabilities of our dedicated workforce,” said Simon Dragan, President.

Established in 2001, Modular Builders has grown to have a regional and now a national presence in modular building construction.

“It is exciting to see another Fulton County company growing,” said Shane Blair, FEDCO Executive Director.  “Modular Builders has been successful in a down market and we will work with them to assist in their continued success.”

As part of this expansion, Modular Builders has already hired 10 additional employees at the company’s Rochester facility and the company will continue to hire additional staff as the business continues to grow with immediate plans to add several individuals. In addition to the staff that has been hired on the shop floor, the plant also utilizes several subcontracting firms for specialized disciplines as the need and the demand arises. Many of these firms have local ties to the Fulton County area. “We feel that working with subcontractors not only supports the community, but keeps our facility flexible to the needs and wants of our customers” said Dragan. The addition of a new product line a year ago along with investments in machinery and equipment will also position the company to continue to grow its business, which now include classroom, dormitory, medical, and office facilities.  Whitley Manufacturing, Inc., an affiliate of Modular Builders, has recently added nearly forty new jobs to its South Whitley facility and thirty-five jobs to its Marysville, Washington facility.

FEDCO is working with local and regional partners to support Modular Builders’ expansion plans.
